Fresh products are vulnerable with limited shelf life. For each product, sometimes depending on their application, there is a specific perfect moment for processing or preparation. It is therefore crucial that our products reach their destination fresh and intact. Packaging is important. It has to be safe to use, protect products from external influence and extend the products’ shelf life as much as possible. We work with gassed pallets to prevent transfer of any vermin, we package our products in glued cardboard and close each batch on a pallet with a cardboard lid.
By using a so-called peakfresh bag we can significantly extend the shelf life of our products. Paprika, for example, now reach their destination in the Caribbean by sea container instead of airfreight.
The purpose of packaging is to keep the produce on the right temperature during transport, to protect it against external influences and fluctuations in temperature to be able to deliver the goods in excellent condition at our client’s place of business.
