This is Meeder’s largest team and consists of 30 permanent employees and between 80-120 flex workers. In the busy summer period we work 24 hours a day with only a short brake on Sunday to clean everything. The permanent team consists of a mix of cultures and the flexworkers have mostly a Polish background.
The temperature within the warehouse is around 7 degrees so all the fruits and vegetables stay fresh. Many processes have been automated but order picking is still done manually for which both pump trucks and forklifts are used. It is therefore always a dynamic environment in which many movements are made.
